Do you know what is Déjà vu ? It is something that I tell myself everytime I see Preity Zinta in the limelight these days. From Cannes to the vogue cover, fashion weeks to Page 3 parties, Miss Zinta has made some terrible faux pas across all these situations with the ditto-effect! Imitating ensembles without any alterations straight out of national and international runways is something that one doesn’t associate with Zinta, otherwise known to be a very stylish celebrity. As an ambassaddress of the Chopard Jewelry in Cannes, Zinta looked cut-copied-paste in terms of both jewelry and dress! The following pictures will substantiate my point and are simple tell-tale signs of a women who’s too busy with cricket to concentrate on fashion!

well....this what is expected! When every bollywood flick is inspired (read plagiarized) we can expect the same about the wardrobe!

If you have to look presentable, it is obvious that you need to conform to existing trends. If Preity’s wardrobe is similar to somebody else’s, it’s simply because she doesn’t want to end up looking like a weirdo.

I believe its her designers’s fault. but to avoid such in future she should act wisely before giving a nod to a particular dress when she presents herself internationally or in her own country.

No getting inspired is a different thing, Marion Cotillard also wore a Jean Paul Gautier that was completely ripped from the runway but she altered it beautifully to suit her skin tone body and style, PZ should not fear the fact that she’s wearing the most sought after designs what I intend to say is that wearing the exact same clothes without altering nothing about them is actually fashion plagiarism! There are enough posts on styleguru to confirm that one style has 1000 implications, so why should she just copy it so mindlessly??

If you notice even her hairdo has been copied from the runway model in the white version of the dress and that hairstyle makes her look absolutely horrible! She actually chose to copy to an extent where she had to fix a wig on her head!

I don’t understand why people are making too much of Preity’s ditto-effect. The women, surely, will have a better answer to that. However, I feel she is as human as any of you. And if she likes something, she has every right to copy it. Besides, she is not claiming the design as her own. So, how can you call it plagiarism? In that case, if any of you wear an apparel that resembles that of your neighbor, you’re guilty of fashion plagiarism, right?

Well said Alpheus PZ is not claiming the design as her own. She has every right to wear what she likes and if in certain cases that turns out to be designer material, I believe that there is nothing wrong in it. Also a lot of responsibility in this is of her stylist who should take due care of what she is wearing.

C’mon folks, its commendable that she has the sense of carrying apparels with elegance, not to say about others who don’t care affording such clothes that reveal nothing. If she is looking nice and decent, its enough. What she is wearing and what resemblances has she been charged with (sorry to use this phrase)may be accidental and coincidental.

Exactly Desh! So long as she carries herself with elegance, nobody should have any issues. Of course, sue her if she is a designer and has copied somebody else’s design ’coz it’s a clear case of impinging on somebody else’s IP. In this case, the designer should be drawing flak and not someone as stylish as Preity.

Well if we journos are not spared for any bit of plagiarism then why these celebs? I guess the sue game goes gaga with them. I would just wait till someone gets hold of PZ’s designer and sue her/him for the copied designs!

It’s definitely not a deal! It’s just a faux pas. No one has to sue anyone here it is just not the best idea to do what she is doing. there is absolutely no reason why she should be persecuted for the way she is dressing, i agree but considering the past record of her being absolutely stunning this one is just a shocker and hence the news! And sorry but that hairdo was not elegant boys.
